JFCC Panel Disccussion on Covid-19 Outbreak and its Economic Impact

Dear members and friends,

On Monday April 27 at 7 PM the Jakarta Foreign Correspondents Club will be hosting a panel discussion featuring Professor Wiku Adisasmita, head of the expert team at Indonesia’s Covid-19 Task Force and Berly Martawardaya, Research Director at Jakarta-based Institute for Development of Economics and Finance (INDEF). Indonesia is fighting a COVID-19 war on two fronts. The pandemic is a silent killer that is challenging health systems around the globe. It is also an economic catastrophe.

During this virtual panel event, our two speakers will start with brief presentations and answer questions that participating audience may forward to event@jfcc.info by 10am on Monday (April 27). The session will last for 1 hour, but if there is extra time, we try to have participants ask follow-up questions via Zoom.

This is remarkable opportunity to gain insight into the thinking behind Indonesia’s approach to the pandemic to date and the challenges that lie ahead.
